Why Do We Lose Hair?

Why We Lose Hair

There are many reasons hair loss occurs, stress, menopause, disease, illness, poor diet, trauma, scalp disorders, excessive chemical processing, medication, etc. However, the most common cause of male and female baldness is because of the buildup DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) in the hair bulb chamber. This clogging process is caused from a malfunctioning of the sebaceous gland. Genetic programming induces the gland to become over active, producing more sebum then necessary, filling the hair chamber with sebum, carrying with it DHT which clings to the walls of the chamber. Over time this process makes it impossible for the vascular system to continue flowing and cleaning these areas. There is little or no passage of blood flow, oxygen, or nutrients to the hair bulb. Hair growing out of this clogged follicle becomes thinner and thinner. At the same time DHT begins to harden. As time passes, the condition worsens and the hair dies from lack of vital nutrients. This diminishing life of the hair can be stopped and the hair rehabilitated through low laser light hair therapy (LLLHT). Laser Light Hair Therapy is the only technology proven to stimulate and grow your own hair back. There is no surgery, no pain, and no side effects.

Low level laser light hair therapy treatments can stop hair loss and in most cases reverse this destructive process. The laser's coherent light at the correct wavelength penetrates the scalp tissue dramatically increasing blood flow. This starts a microbiological chain of events opening the capillaries bringing life giving oxygen to the hair follicle and rehabilitating the still active hair. Softening the DHT allows the vascular system to remove some of the debris. At the same time, there begins a slowing and normalizing of the sebaceous gland correcting the production of sebum in to the hair chamber. Over time the body will recognize this slowing process. During a period of six to nine months of healing itself it will maintain the production of sebum on its own. Individuals vary in th e amount of maintenance treatments required after this time.

What does laser hair therapy do?

The LLLT Therapy Unit was designed to create a cleaner and healthier environment for the hair and scalp using light energy.

Light energy, when delivered at a low power frequency at different wavelengths, has a bio-stimulating effect on the body. Red light, visible to the human eye, is delivered at 660 nanometers and provides topical heat and massages the scalp allowing the pores to open. Infrared light, invisible to the human eye, is delivered at 940 nanometers and transmits deeper beyond the scalp reaching the cell structure below. The infrared light increases cellular metabolism, blood circulation and the supply of oxygen. The synergistic effect created by the two forms of light allows for an effective producer application and gives the hair its best chance for a healthy growth cycle.

The product has obtained the necessary approval from European control groups satisfying BBC directives governing electromagnetic and safety compatibility. This product is in compliance with and has met all requirements, for a laser product, set out by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration pursuant to 21 C.F.R. § 1040.

Laser Light Hair Therapy FAQ

What is Laser Light Hair Therapy?

Laser Light Hair Therapy is a non-surgical scientific approach to treating hair loss, thinning hair, baldness and problems associated with the scalp. Laser Light Hair Therapy is a medically tested effective and proven method using Low Level Laser Energy or soft laser light to effectively treat and control problem hair loss.

Laser Light Hair Therapy is a non-surgical treatment utilizing a device containing therapeutic low level lasers developed in Europe for the treatment of hair loss and diseases of the scalp. The treatment delivers light energy directly from secured laser positions designed to increase the blood flow to the scalp. The laser functions on the same scientific principle of that of photo biotherapy where the laser light stimulates cell metabolism and causes damaged cells to be repaired. This breakthrough technology has recently been featured on national newscasts across the USA. Physicians are praising this technology as an effective treatment to combat hair loss.

The laser treatments have an overall good effect on all types of hair. It is recommended for men and women at any age.

When Can You Expect Results?

In most cases noticeable improvement is seen in the first four to six months of treatment. If you have a high rate of hair loss it is possible that you may see a reduced rate after only a few treatments. Of course, results will vary with the individual, and strict adherence to your protocol schedule is required to get the best results. Irritating scalp problems are usually improved rather quickly.

Is Laser Light Hair Therapy Safe?

Yes! The Laser device which is classified as a Certified Class 111A cosmetic laser is recognized by the FDA and is approved for cosmetic use in the United States and Canada.

The energy produced by the laser does not have the thermal component to cause thermal injuries to user or operators. The laser's energy does not change or alter molecular structures. It stimulates the body's mechanism to repair and heal itself.

What Are The Benefits of Laser Light Hair Therapy?

  • Increases blood supply to the scalp
  • Stops the progression of hair loss
  • Stimulates rejuvenation of new hair.
  • Repairs and improves hair shaft
  • Dramatically prolongs the life of hair color and perms.
  • Relieves irritating scalp conditions

The Digital Imaging System

Our digital imaging system is the professional, more advanced system of enlargement for observation of the scalp and hair. This system magnifies the surface of the scalp up to 200x. This degree of enlargement shows details that are invisible to the naked eye. This system will help us make recommendations and monitor progress.
